Soulrot
Studios

A creative workshop for dark and literary work —
books, campaigns, lore, and art made at the edge of the knowable.

The forge is open.

Works & Projects

Fiction, campaigns, and artwork drawn from the same dark well — each piece shaped by character, consequence, and the weight of a lived-in world.

fiction in progress

The Ashen Chronicle

A novel in fragments — the fall of a forgotten empire told through the letters, marginalia, and confessions of those who survived it. Heavy on dread, light on certainty. The first manuscript is half-formed and hungry.

d&d campaign forthcoming

Daughters of the Hollow Throne

A 5e campaign set in the dying court of a lich-queen who no longer wishes to be undead. Six sessions of political horror, inheritance disputes across planes, and the question of what loyalty means to the already damned. Campaign PDFs and session notes releasing in phases.

art & design in progress

The Cartography of Lost Things

A series of illustrated maps for places that never existed and worlds that almost did. Hand-rendered in ink and texture — some are navigable, most are not. Available as high-resolution prints.

games live

GlitchCity Arcade

The game division lives at its own address — Artificial Reign, PsyberFunk, Cryptkeeper, and GlitchRunner. If the world here is too quiet, the arcade is open.

Lore & Worldbuilding

On the SoulRot Universe

There is a place where names are debts. Where the words carved into stone are not monuments but obligations — and every city that forgets its founding sin eventually pays what it owes. The SoulRot universe is not a setting so much as a condition: a slow erosion of things that were almost good, and the people who live in the long aftermath of that almost.

"The forge does not care what you wanted to make.
It only knows what you put into it."

Kingdoms here do not fall in a day. They rot. Slowly, from the inside, beginning with the things no one thought to protect — the oral histories, the small rites, the names children were given to mark them as belonging to something. By the time the walls come down, everyone who mattered has already been lost. The chronicles of the Ashen Age are written by survivors who are not sure they deserved to survive.

On the Hollowed Kingdoms

The Hollowed Kingdoms are not ruins. Ruins imply completion — something that was whole, then broken. The Kingdoms are incomplete, half-built ideals that ran out of will before they ran out of stone. There are temples to gods whose names have been strategically forgotten. There are courts where the throne is occupied by an absence so deliberate it has developed its own politics. And there is, everywhere, the low hum of magic that was never fully understood — borrowed from something older and not yet repaid.

This is where the campaigns live. Where the characters are not heroes so much as people who ended up at the center of something — and must decide, again and again, what they are willing to become.

About

Soulrot Studios is a one-person creative workshop operating in the space between fiction, game design, and visual art. The work is dark by disposition and literary by habit — slow to release, deliberate in form, and skeptical of anything that resolves too cleanly.

The studio is part of the CyberFunkLabs creative network — a cluster of independent projects that share infrastructure but not aesthetic. Where CFL faces forward into neon and systems, Soulrot turns toward the older things: the grief in mythology, the ethics of survival, the horror of ambition that outlasts its reasons.

There is no team page because there is no team. There is a desk, a considerable archive of abandoned drafts, and an ongoing argument with every story about whether it is done yet. The argument is usually lost.

creative philosophy

Make things that have weight. Write characters who deserve to be complicated. Build worlds that punish easy answers. Let the dark be dark without explaining it into safety. Finish what you start — but only after it has had time to tell you what it actually is.

Collaboration & Inquiries

For commissions, collaborations, campaign licensing, or anything that doesn't fit neatly into a category — this is the appropriate door. Silence is the default; genuine inquiries are always welcome.

Received. The message has passed through.
A response will come when the work allows.
